One Richmond Utility Box Unveiling

  • 199 8th Avenue San Francisco, CA, 94118 United States (map)

With the The Richmond Neighborhood Center, Supervisor Sandra Lee Fewer will unveil an exciting new public art project, to be displayed on utility boxes throughout the Richmond District. Come out and see our One Richmond AT&T Utility Box Unveiling on October 26th at 9am - 10am at the Corner of 8th Avenue and California Street with our One Richmond Artwork by Eddie Ahn!
Let's beautify Richmond together! Light refreshments will be served.

BACKGROUND: The illustration represents hundreds of hours of work by Richmond District resident and cartoonist Eddie Ahn. As part of a pilot project to decorate AT&T utility boxes in the Richmond District, Excelsior and Castro districts, the ten 4-foot-tall utility boxes of the Richmond District will be wrapped in vinyl that features neighborhood landmarks, fun character stories, and animals of the neighborhood. This art project also supports One Richmond, an identity developed by residents of the Richmond to unify our community and to cultivate neighborhood pride centered on inclusion, taking care of one another, taking care of the Richmond, and supporting our local businesses.
